In 1989 Dawkins commented, 'The word meme seems to be turning out to be a good meme' (Dawkins 1989).
You know Pokemafia? This is like that, but with anything.

Note that some of these rules could theoretically be broken if a role allows its user to do so.

Section 1: How to play the game

1. At the start of the game, every player will receive a role PM telling them what their role is, and mafia members will be told who the other mafia members are.
2. The game will consist of alternating night and day phases, starting at Night One. Unless indicated otherwise by the host, night phases last 24 hours and day phases last 48 hours.
3. During the night, players can send night actions by responding to their role PM with their action. In addition to night actions listed in each role description, the mafia can collectively choose one player to kill every night.
4. During the day, all living players can discuss in the thread to determine their next course of action. Anyone can post "Vote: PlayerName" to cast a vote to lynch that player. At the end of the day, the player with the most votes will be lynched, unless "no lynch" has more votes than that player.
5. When voting for who to kill at night, the mafia member that actually performs the night kill is decided by the mafia. This is done by having the visitor of their choice include that they will be the visitor in their night action PM. If none do so, the last mafia member to send in their action will visit.
6. When a player dies, their role will be revealed in the thread.
7. The village wins when all mafia members are dead. The mafia wins when the number of mafia members is equal to half of the living players. All third parties have unique win conditions explained in their role description.

Section 2: What not to do
8. If you have a night action, and you don't post or send any actions for three consecutive phases, you will be inactive killed. If you don't have a night action, you'll be inactive killed after missing two consecutive day phases. Players killed by inactivity do not win, even if their win condition is met.
9. Don't do metagaming. That's when you use info like "Oh, that person is using the PM system shortly after the night began! They must have some sort of night action!" Metagaming has many forms, so if you think something might be metagaming, check with the host first.
10. Play for your side. If your actions are obviously aiming to sabotage your team's chances of winning, that is bad. If you think something might count as playing against your side, ask the host if it is.
11. Don't post in the thread at night.
12. Don't copy and paste or screencap anything sent to you by the host as a form of evidence. This is to make your information not super easy to confirm. Players may directly copy the text in their role PM, as well as in any system messages they receive. They still aren't allowed to screenshot PMs, directly copy them with names and/or timestamp in, etc.

Settings:
PMs/DMs: ON (You may speak privately with other living players freely. If you're making a group chat of at least three people, please also add the host to it.)
Votes: PLURALITY (Whichever player has the most votes at the end of the day will be lynched. If "no lynch" has more votes than anything else, no one will die. If there's a tie, it goes to whichever vote reached the tied amount first.)

1. Prior to the start of the game, PM me whatever you want your role to be based on. Your role can be absolutely anything, as long as it doesn't break the forum rules. Get as wild as you want! Once you have sent in your thing, it's locked in and cannot be changed. Additionally, try not to mention your choice to other players before the game begins, since that could potentially be used for pregame metagaming etc.
2. These things will then be used to craft custom roles based on them. Each role will be given to the player who requested it. Randomization of alignment will be done after roles have been decided, and some may then be tweaked further to ensure they have a use for their alignment. The specific thing chosen by players will have zero impact on their alignment. Once the setup is decided, the split will be announced and the game will begin.
3. Roles will not appear in the OP at first. When a role is revealed due to its user dying or for any other reason, it will be added to the role list in the OP for ease of access.
4. Due to the possibility of resurrection or other dead-player-interacting roles being added, please don't do anything aside from reading the thread after you've died. Don't talk to living players, or try and discover who is what alignment, as if such roles exist it can have a serious effect on the game.
You are The Light at the End of the Tunnel! Whenever a player dies, they pass through you. You'll be able to see what items they had at the time of their death, and if they died at night, you'll learn who they visited that night.
You are Superfight! At the start of each night, you'll draw a white card and a black card and the host will make a new role using those two cards, and you will be converted to that role until the start of the next night. When you die or when your role is revealed for any other reason, you will be revealed as both this role and your current role.

Currently, you are a Unicorn that is really really emotional! Tonight, you can visit a player to steal an item they're holding by stabbing it with your horn and then running away (the item is chosen at random if they have multiple). However, if you steal an item and another player visits you on the same night, you'll panic, drop the item, and run away. This will prevent the action used on you, but the visitor will obtain the item you stole. If multiple actions are used on you, you will only prevent one of them, prioritizing killing actions but otherwise chosen at random.
You are ash! Every night, you can visit a player and make them read one of your... "creative works". This will cause them to cringe, preventing their action. The day after a player cringes, if they vote for you, the vote will have +1 vote power. (They won't be informed of this fact.)
If you are in a group chat of at least three living players (including yourself), when one of those players reads one of your works, you will also investigate them to learn their alignment. (Remember to add the host to any group chats you're in!)
You are the Bunny with a Giant Magical Warhammer! You start the game holding a Magical Warhammer item. It can be used every night to fend off enemies, preventing one action used on you (chosen at random if there are multiple). If the warhammer is stolen, you'll learn who took it, and if the thief dies, the warhammer will return to you. Once during the game, during the day, you can enlarge the warhammer and kill someone with it. This will reveal you as the killer. This killing action can only be done by you, not by anyone else holding the warhammer.
You are Trish Una! Every night, you can use your stand, Spicy Lady, to visit a player and soften them into a rubber-like consistency, which will protect them from death for that night. If you successfully prevent a kill in this way, on the following night when the player you softened returns to normal, you can use their stored kinetic energy to redirect the previously blocked kill to a player of your choice. For this killing action, the player you previously protected will be the visitor. If you choose to use the killing action, you cannot protect a player on the same night.
You are Akane! Every night, you can visit a player to give them some random information that you know for some reason, which will give them the details of a random role that is in the game. This won't tell them who has the role or what its alignment is, only the role description.
Each player has a number assigned to them based on the order they signed up for the game, which can be seen in the sign-up list in the OP. Your number is the exception to this: Yours changes to 6, and Ash instead takes your spot on the sign-up list, 18.
When you and at least two other players visit the same player on the same night, each of the visitors will use a duplicate action on the player whose spot on the sign-up list matches the digital root of the visitors. When this happens, you will learn what the digital root was and who you visited as a result. These digital root actions cannot be redirected. Additionally, your digital root action will also protect the target from death, in addition to whatever action was duplicated.
When you send in your night action, you can also choose to add 0, 10, or 20 to the result for the digital root action, allowing you to use the digital root action on players with 2-digit numbers on the sign-up list. However, if the result isn't a number on the sign-up list at all (either 0 or anything above 27) or if the resulting player is already dead, the digital root action will fail.
You are Vegeta, the hit new Fortnite character! You start the game on the Battle Bus, where you are immune to all night actions. At the end of Night 1, you'll exit the Battle Bus and land on the ground. After doing so, you will automatically gain some building materials at the end of every day. Whenever you have materials, you can build walls between you and another player, preventing that player from visiting you. (Building a wall is not a visiting action.) A wooden wall will prevent a player from visiting you for that night only, a stone wall will last two nights, and a metal wall will stop them for three nights. The material you gain each night will be random, but the total materials you get will always last for 4 nights in total. Additionally, you have a 20% chance each time you get materials to find a Kamiyamama item. A player holding a Kamiyamama can use it at night to aim at another player and start charging up, and then during the following night it will be fired at that player, killing them. You won't get materials or be able to perform any actions on the night you fire the Kamiyamama.
You are Newfi Fucking Cheese from Nuzlocke Survivor Sinnoh! Every night, you can use Search to visit a player and take one of their items (chosen at random if they have multiple).
At the start of the game, you obtain the Legacy Advantage item. If a player holding the Legacy Advantage dies, they must choose a player to give the item to during the following phase. A player holding the Legacy Advantage during a day phase when there are 4 or 5 players left alive can use it to increase their vote power by 1 for that day.
Once the number of living players is half of the starting amount, you gain a new ability: Once during the game, at night, you can use the Host Interview to ask the host questions about hosting decisions made during the game. No valuable information will be revealed from this.
You are Knuckles! Every night, you can dig underground, which gives you a 75% chance to obtain a random item. The item can be a gun, a bulletproof vest, a crystal ball, a key, a knife, a snowball, or a candle. Twice during the game, you can instead visit a player to fight and kill them.
You are the Can't Read List! Whenever a player says something that indicates that they don't know something when the answer is clear from information given by the host in thread, you can point this out to the host during the same phase it was said. If you're correct, the player who made the mistake gets added to the Can't Read List at the end of that phase. It is announced in thread when this happens, and once a player is on the list, they will never leave it. Every night, you can visit a player who is on the Can't Read List to steal their vote for that day, reducing their vote power by 1 and increasing yours by 1. Once the list has 5 players, you can steal votes from 2 players every night, and once it reaches 10 players, you can steal from 3 every night.
You are the British Empire! Every night, you can visit up to two players to take over and establish yourself in their locations. Whenever a player joins your empire, all other players in the empire will also be informed. Any players who are in your empire will be able to give any items they own to other players in your empire at night as a visiting action, even if the item in question normally can't be given away. What the other players aren't told is that whenever a player gives an item in this way, you will learn about it.
Additionally, you can post in the thread at night, because the sun never sets on the British Empire.
You are the Suzuki Mighty Boy! Every night, you can choose (not visit) two players to drive between them. Anyone who visits one of the two players that night will be redirected to the other. Because you are a literal car, other players can visit you at night to drive you, provided they explicitly say to "enter the vehicle". You'll be informed when this happens, but will not know who the driver is. A player who's driving you can crash you into another player during the following day, killing both you and the target (but not the driver).
You are an Everything Bagel! Any time a player dies, you will obtain a very small, weaker portion of their role and add it to yours (the toppings of the bagel are dead players). You'll be informed of what specific ability you gained every time this happens, and they stack indefinitely. When you die, the player who killed you will eat you, gaining access to all the abilities you had when you died for one day-night cycle. (If you die by lynch, you'll be eaten by a random player who voted for you.)
You are Anya Forger! Every night, you can visit a player to read their mind and learn who they are going to visit that night. This action takes place before all other actions. You'll learn who they're visiting in the middle of the night as soon as they send in an action, but you'll only learn their first target, so if they change their mind later you won't be informed. (Because this action gives results in the middle of the night, you can't change your action after sending in a target.)
Because you appear to be an ordinary child, you will be seen as a plain Villager when investigated. Additionally, because you want to keep your powers a secret from everyone else, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TELL OTHER PLAYERS ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT ALL! This will be strictly enforced, which means that if your side wins but you broke this rule, you will not be counted as a winner. (For example, you can't tell other players your role name, or that you have tracker-like abilities, or even that you aren't allowed to tell people about your role, but you can lie and make something up about your role, as long as none of it is true. If you aren't sure if something you want to say breaks this rule, you can ask the host about it.)
You are Undyne! Every night, you can visit a player to turn their soul green. Players with green souls cannot visit anyone unless that player visits them on the same night, but if they do so, they will prevent the action of the player who was visiting them. This will take effect at the start of the following day, and end at the end of the following night. Players will be informed when this happens to them, but they will only be told that they are locked in place.
Because of your Determination, you can survive one kill of any type aside from a lynch. Alternatively, you can instead use your Determination to attack someone with your lance during the day to stab them, which will make them bleed out and die at the end of the day. You can choose whether to have this attack reveal you as the stabber or not. If you use either of your Determination abilities, you will lose the other.
You are a Jar of Dirt! Any time a player dies while holding any items, their items disappear from their person, and appear in you, buried in the dirt. Any items you receive are also automatically placed in the jar. When a player visits you while any items are in the jar, they will take one of them at random. At the end of every phase, you will be told how many items are in the jar, but you will not know what any of them are.
You are Lugmos! Every night, you can use Lugmos Blaster to visit a player and make them Scared, which prevents them from using one of their role's abilities (chosen at random if the role has multiple, but if one of their actions can kill, it prioritizes the killing action). The scared status lasts for the night you visit them until the end of the following night. After Scaring a player, they can't be Scared again for the next two nights. Once during the game, at night, you instead can use Charge! to build up power. The night after doing this, Lugmos Blaster will also kill the target, ignoring protection.
